Coast to coast, Padstow in the north to Fowey in the south.

Some of the best walking Cornwall has to offer on gently rolling downs and farmland,
across ancient bridges, through settlements dating back to the Domesday book
on paths and single track lanes that have been traversed for thousands of years.
We also follow the River Fowey part of the way.

We have arranged a five night four day walk crossing the whole of the Saints Way.
You can arrange to stay longer.

42 miles /60km over four days averaging ten miles a day consecutively.

Accommodation is split between two places, three nights in a fabulous farmhouse setting
close to Withiel/ Helman Tor and two nights in Fowey. Cars remain safely on site
at the farmhouse with taxi service to and from the walk /evening meals.

Booking essential as soon as possible as numbers are restricted to 7.

The Saints Way includes 18 miles (29km) from Padstow in the north to Helman Tor Gate
on Bodmin Moor.

It then splits on its way south going via either Lanlivery and Golant or Luxulyan, Tywardreath
and St Blazey to Fowey adding another 10.5 and 11.5 miles (16.8 and 17.7 km) respectively.

We walk both ways giving a total of a 42.5 mile walk (67km) when you add a 2.5 mile (4 km)
circular walk around the Cornwall Wildlife Trusts' Breney Common on Helman Tor Gate.



Some history
In centuries gone by there was a lot of travel and trade between
Ireland, Wales, Cornwall and Brittany.

There was, especially, many religious travellers from Wales,
Ireland and Brittany arriving in Cornwall.

To avoid going around Lands End a route emerged over Bodmin Moor between
Padstow in the north and Fowey in the south.
