Terms and conditions:

Bookings

      This applies only to the guided holiday walks.

      Reservations by deposit should be made as far in advance as possible
      and at least 60 days prior to commencement of walking holiday.
      We are booking up to 18 months in advance.

      A deposit reserves a place on the walking holiday.
      Full payment confirms the booking. Deposit to walkitcornwall is 20% of full cost.
      It is non returnable unless holiday is cancelled by walkitcornwall
      (see walkitcornwall cancellation procedure).

      A completed & signed booking form (sent on enquiry) along with the balance of payment
      for the holiday is due 60 days prior to start date otherwise walkitcornwall
      will treat the booking as cancelled.

      When final payment is made there will be two amounts specified to be paid.
      One will be to walkitcornwall, the other to the accommodation venue
      unless specifically arranged otherwise.

      If booking is made less than 60 days from start of walking holiday the full fee is due.
      (There is no deposit or late booking fee!).

Late bookings are welcome.
      Just phone to confirm availability.
     
Change by client:-
     Once a booking has been confirmed, if a client wishes to amend
      a significant part of the arrangements such as change of start date
      or upgrade to hotel this will be accommodated if possible.
      If this is not possible and the client has to cancel then
      Client Cancellation Procedure will be initiated.
    
Client Cancellation Procedure. 
      Cancellation by the client must be made in writing or emailed
      with a corresponding confirmation of receipt of email by walkitcornwall.
     
      The following charges apply:-
      More than 60 days before start date: Deposit only (20% of tour price).
      30 to 60 days before start date: 75% of tour price.
      Less than 30 days before start date: 100% of tour price.

      There can be no refund made to a client who leaves a holiday once it has been started.

walkitcornwall Cancellation Procedure.
      In the event of walkitcornwall cancelling your holiday, it will return all monies paid in full.
      If part of your holiday is cancelled, walkitcornwall will refund
      the corresponding portion of monies paid.
      On payment, all the liability of walkitcornwall to the client for the said cancellation shall cease.

      If it is necessary for any reason for walkitcornwall to change any of the details of your holiday
      after your booking has been confirmed and before the start of your holiday,
      walkitcornwall will notify you wherever possible.
      If changes made by walkitcornwall are not acceptable, the amount you have paid
      will be refundable and your reservation will be cancelled.
      This is the limit of walkitcornwall's liability.

Accommodation.
     Price of holiday is per person for seven nights based on two people sharing
     twin-bedded rooms (or double-bedded if available and requested).
     Single supplement charges are £5 pppn for B&B and £15 pppn for hotel.
     The facilities of the accommodation have been inspected yearly by walkitcornwall.
     Clients stay at the same venue for seven nights.
    
     Our choices of B&B have been awarded four stars and include
     a 17th Century coach house, family run establishments with wonderful views
     and will be used according to numbers in party and availability.

     Our choices of hotels have been awarded at least 3 AA stars
     and are unsurpassed in coastal views and facilities.
     Dinner is available on request at the hotel.

Health and fitness.
     Bookings are accepted on the understanding that all persons travelling
     are normally in good health and properly prepared for a walking holiday
     specified in the descriptions of walkitcornwall walking holidays.
     Any special health and fitness conditions must be revealed to walkitcornwall
     prior to the holiday on the confirmation form.
     This is for the benefit of the client, other members of the holiday party and guides.
     An awareness must be made to walkitcornwall of any conditions that require
     medication for conditions such as asthma and diabetes.
     All information is treated with the strictest confidentiality.
     A doctor's certificate may be required.

Insurance.
      Clients must obtain or possess travel insurance covering cancellation, delay, injury,
      ill health, loss of money and property, and attendant risks which may arise from or
      occur during a walking holiday.

      Guides are fully insured through British Mountain Council approved schemes.

Responsibility.
      Bookings are accepted on the understanding that clients appreciate the risks
      associated with walking holidays and that they undertake the holiday at their own risk.
      It must be appreciated that walkitcornwall can only rely on facts given in timetables
      and in other information brochures and will endeavour to make sure that the information
      given is accurate and up-to-date.

      It follows that clients must accept that any information utilised by walkitcornwall are
      subject to change. Any further use   by clients of any details contained within any
      information guides, maps and brochures is the responsibility of the client.

      The client making a booking does so on behalf of each member of his/her party.
      Booking (by the client) and confirmation (by walkitcornwall) will be posted or e-mailed.
      Booking and confirmation together constitute a contract made in England
      under English Law and is covered by The Package Travel, Package Holidays
      and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

      The entire contract between walkitcornwall and the client is contained
      in these conditions and the booking form, and no representations, terms,
      warranty or condition expressed or implied shall be deemed to be or have been made
      or agreed or imported by reference to any other writing, advertisement or conversation.
      No agent, servant or representative of walkitcornwall has any right to alter or vary
      or waive any of these conditions and they can only be varied by the written permission
      of walkitcornwall and signed by Paul Simmons.

      The contract between walkitcornwall and the client as contained in these conditions
      and the booking form shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with
      the laws of England and for all purposes be deemed to be an English contract.
      If the client has cause for complaint the matter should be brought to the attention
      of walkitcornwall at the time.

      Any legal action taken against walkitcornwall must be in English courts.
      After the start of your holiday, walkitcornwall shall not be liable for delays in,
      deviations or omissions from any holiday, howsoever caused,
      or for any direct or indirect consequences thereof.

      All arrangements for travel, accommodation and other services of any kind whatsoever
      in connection with the holiday are made subject to any conditions imposed
      by ferry, hotel, transportation and any other companies, firms of persons concerned.

      Clients and their personal property including luggage are at all times
      solely at their own risk unless due to our proven negligence.

Your holiday:- 
      Begins from arrival at the first night accommodation on Saturday night
      to the following Saturday check out.
      It includes five days walking, one day off and seven nights of accommodation.

      Price includes seven nights accommodation and breakfast, five days walking,
      transfer to and from the walk and packed lunch.
      Any other costs are of the clients responsibility and undertaking.

Recommended equipment:- 
      A full suggested itinerary for the changeable weather conditions of Cornwall
      will be sent with confirmation of booking.
      We do recommend the OS Explorer 1:25,000 map (Number 103 for the Lizard)
      and the Landranger 1:50,000.
      You'll need a well broken in pair of walking boots or similar walking shoes
      with deep treads as it can be slippery and muddy underfoot.
      Ankle support is recommended. Also for day use a small rucksac (30 litres max),
      big enough for waterproofs, lunch, snacks, 1 litre flask, camera, binoculars
      and spare socks, t shirt and fleece.
      Waterproof clothing both top and trousers is essential.
      Gaiters and GPS are not required. A sense of humour is.

Travel information:-
      Travel arrangements to and from Cornwall will be sent to you
      with final booking confirmation. All B&B's/hotels have sufficient parking spaces.
      Rail, bus, aeroplane and taxi service information available on request.
