Today's walkitcornwall quote
Thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, an opportunity to see cornwall up close without having to consider where to park the car. Have enjoyed the walks for several years and look ofrward to more.

The Lizard Peninsula Coast Path Walk Sept 2012
How can you not be in awe of the south west coast path? In solidarity with the week before we were owed some more good weather and especially after the Lizard walking week in July which turned out to be the muddiest and wettest on record. And we were so rewarded for our nine guests who came from near and far for a walking week of utter pleasure. Coast path walking at its absolute best.
Our guests came from as far as Australia, Norway, the mighty Essex, Oxford, Stroud and Devon. We had bookings also from 18 months ago to one week before the start. Such disparity in geographical and temporal range but we were one solid group. Everyone had time for everybody else which makes for a very comfortable week for all. A week of pure joy.
The word for the week was undoubtedly "Undulations". When you walk the Lizard peninsula on the south west coast path you are ascending and descending a fair old bit. "We are not called walkitsuffolk" was the often relayed explanation on attainment of yet another wonderful view that involved a bit of leg and lung work (for those overseas, Suffolk is flat:-).
To see the difference between this and July's Lizard walk refresh your memory and view the July Lizard blog. Same landscape, different walk altogether. It is quite incredible how weather effects ones state of mind, the flora and fauna around you and the overall impression of a landscape. The same turf can be a battleground or a garden.
