Today's walkitcornwall quote

"Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought" - Albert Szent-Gy˝orgyi

I've published my pictures on facebook and my friends cannot believe that Cornwall is so amazingly beautiful. One of my friends is thinking of taking her mum on your walking holiday:-) I've recommended Walkitcornwall to her, as being based in Falmouth is definitely a better option and from personal experience, she will have a great and fun time with you.

Free Walks Around Cornwall

Free downloads and movies

Free downloads? Always a good thing.

I write for Here and Now the Cornwall listings magazine, funnily enough about walking. There are a few walks and articles to download. Feel free.

Hopefully the articles make you look at walking from a different perspective and help you get more out of strolling and sauntering. I welcome comments and conversations about all things walking so please do get in touch.

paul 5 500 x 289.jpgAlso there have been a couple of TV appearances.

The first was with Billy Joel on stage where he sang and I played “New York State Of Mind”. You will notice that I am now a little more “distinguished” than I was then 15 years ago.

The other was a couple of years back when Matt from Countryfile came down to Cornwall and I had the pleasure of taking him around a few places, one of which made it off the cutting room floor and was on the programme. We talked about the building of a “false Falmouth” at Nare Point on the Lizard peninsula by the props department of Ealing Studios to deflect the bombs from enemy aircraft.

We also have a free guided walks page where you can view a walk on Google Earth with photos of the surrounding area and information and GPS coordinates. Folow them on the relevant OS map and away you go to explore the area. Need some information about the area? Now I have also been a musician and composer for nigh on 30 years and it is my plan, now that I have finally purchased a 24-track recorder to get back into writing. This beautiful scenery of Cornwall inspires me and it is time to marry the images of the landscape with some piano pieces. So keep your eyes (and ears) out for some visuals and audio.
